While white people across America are bending over backwards to confess their white privilege or, I guess, “fragility,” I’m afraid I have a different perspective. I have a clean conscience. In my house, my parents never talked about race. It never came up. I can’t remember a time watching television with my parents, or being out at a store, or at a professional sporting event, where either of my parents mentioned the race of anyone we were seeing. It just didn’t come up. And why would it? It didn’t matter then, and it doesn’t matter now. These days, you…
Conservatism vs Democrats
Before I start, let’s get the definitions clear: Democrat = political party with an agenda to tear down America and the Constitution and replace it with a socialist system that they dominate. Socialist = A Democrat Liberal = People in America who’ve been told for 30 years that conservatives are racists, bigots, homophobes, xenophobes, islamophobes, sexists, etc. and figure they’re none of those things, so they must be a liberal (even though they agree with 90% of conservative values without even knowing it). What’s the difference…? Conservative vs Democrat Happy vs angry Individual thinker vs group thinker Tolerant vs…
Celebrate diversity
Well? This is it. This is what the celebration of diversity looks like. This is what happens when we all go out and show off everything we don’t agree on. This is what it looks like when we focus on everything that divides us. This is what happens when you tell people that what makes us different is our skin color, which, ironically, is an inherently racist premise. You can’t have a functioning set of friends, school classroom, workplace, community, city, state, or country if no one has any idea what unites them. You can’t look past your differences…
The media’s so dumb (and Trump knows it)
For four years, we’ve had to hear nearly every reporter, media pundit, political strategist, and politician weigh in on President Trump’s Twitter behavior. Most have, in some way, be it heavy-handed or implied, wished he hadn’t said one thing or another, or just would stop altogether. Especially the media. When Trump tweets, he does it to bypass the media and directly reach those who choose to follow him. He does this because he can speak unfiltered, without someone in the Democrat/Media Party telling you what he was really saying. If the media would just let him tweet without saying…
Desperately seeking disagreement
The problem with the reactions to the unnecessary death of George Floyd is that everyone is desperately seeking someone to protest. Unfortunately for them, but fortunately for this country, this country is pretty unanimous in its reaction: It was completely unnecessary, and justice must be served. Everyone, conservatives, liberals, men, women, blacks, whites… everyone agrees that what happened was wrong and justice must be done. Now, cooler heads will stop and mention due process and allowing all of the information to come in. But even they will agree, right now, that what they saw on video was completely wrong….
Fact checking fact checkers
There are so many examples of ridiculous media bias that you’d need an entire site dedicated to it to try and capture it all. In fact, there are several. I prefer the Media Research Center, which is overflowing with great examples. But I just couldn’t help myself with this one. Yesterday, CNN had a “fact check” story about how much Donald Trump has spent playing golf versus Barack Obama at the same point in their presidencies. Before I get into it, I always wonder, who’s fact checking the fact checkers? I remember when fact checking became popular. It was…
Land of the free? Home of the brave?
America is really being put to the test these days, and it pains me to say this, but we may be failing. Land of the free? Nope. We’re locked in our homes, and obediently awaiting orders from our fearless leaders to let us know when it’s safe again. We’re actively turning away from activities we want to do and people we want to see for fear of catching a virus. We’re not attending, or even having, funerals. We’ve shuttered weddings. Honking outside the house is the new birthday song. Home of the brave? People are scared to death. Even…
Taking care of the “little guy”
I would think Democrats would be extremely conflicted right now. On one hand, as champions of the “little guy,” they’ve got to be wringing hands and gnashing teeth that our current lockdowns are ruining people’s livelihoods and leaving a wake of middle class, “little guy,” Americans without a job and seeking unemployment. Then again, the “little guy” was always too stupid to take care of himself, anyway. So perhaps they are championing the little guy by keeping him unemployed and giving him $2,000 for the rest of his life. (Because as we know, when Democrats take care of the…
What we should have learned from the zoo
It’s only Wednesday, and in the past three days, I’ve heard four separate stories about people who made the deliberate decision not to go to work because they’re making more through the COVID unemployment than they would if they went to work. There was plenty of concern about this in conservative news outlets. Why work for $100 when someone is going to come along and give you $200? As usual, the worst marketing department in the history of marketing departments (that would be the Republican Party’s marketing department) is completely missing the opportunity to teach on this. First off,…
The Democrat’s Limbaugh miscalculation
We can’t know what’s in the hearts and minds of another, but I think there’s plenty of evidence to strongly suggest the Blue State, or Democrat governors, are continuing their state lockdowns in the interests of furthering the economic pain. Why would they do this? Because, as we discussed yesterday, the Democrat Party is unified in everything they do. And their number one goal remains to remove and destroy Donald Trump, by any means necessary, as soon as possible. Unfortunately for them, they made one big miscalculation. By making everyone stay home – whether they’re working from home or…
