BLM vs blm

Black Lives Matter was an extremely clever name for the organization. People and companies all over American are rushing in to stand with, donate to, or fly the flag of Black Lives Matter. They want to show their solidarity with the idea, but in fact, they’re contributing to the organization. Who can’t get behind the idea that black lives matter? It, like “white lives matter” or “asian lives matter,” is simply a subset of “all lives matter.” When you say you root for the Seattle Mariners, you are inherently saying you like baseball. If you say you like “all”…

There’s no systemic racism

There’s racism within the system. There’s nothing inherently racist about a system founded on the idea that everyone was created equally, with equal rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Yes, the system originally allowed for slavery and considered blacks to be 3/5 person. But we’ve since rooted out those laws, regulations, and court decisions that allowed racism to exist. (Although, I’m sure there are some arcane, little-known rules out there somewhere.) One could argue that there are still biases. For example, equal access to lawyers, when one is either defending oneself or wanting to pursue legal…

Step into my Parler

It’s a trap! And conservatives are falling right into it. Twitter has made themselves such a difficult and unfriendly place for conservative voices and freedom of speech that conservatives seem to have decided to pick up their ball and go home. Or, in this case, take their voices to Parler, a relatively new alternative to Twitter. When you read all the messages about it on Twitter, it’s spoken like a bold act of defiance. Like we’re sticking it to Twitter. I think it’s just the opposite. I think Twitter is fine with this. They’ve been slowly driving conservatives away…

A flag for everyone

Our town is having a fairly small, but still lively, debate on whether or not we should be flying a Pride flag at our town hall. I couldn’t help but think of how many flagpoles we’re eventually going to need to fly everyone’s flag. We’re going to need flags for gays, straights, transgenders, men, women, blacks, asians, Indians (both American and those from India), whites, hispanics, conservatives, liberals, Catholics, atheists, agnostics, jews, nerds, brains, geeks, athletes, tall people, short people… (and the list goes on). Then I was thinking, wouldn’t it be easier if we just had one flag…

An aggrieved leftist will always let you know

You know, the funny thing about people on the left side of the political spectrum is that they always let you know when they’re aggrieved. If someone on the left is feeling offended or insulted, they will be damn sure to let everyone know about it. And what makes them more efficient is that they know exactly what the offender is thinking and exactly what their motivations are. That saves us the hassle of going through an investigation and hearing the other side of the story. There’s no need. The offended leftist can tell you exactly the source of…

Remembering Colin Kaepernik… correctly

Colin Kaepernik’s patience has been rewarded. He is now being discussed in the same breathe as Jackie Robinson and Cassius Clay. But that’s only because we either have short memories or never understood the objection in the first place. When Kaepernik kneeled before the flag during the national anthem’s to start his NFL games, people were very upset. Many stopped watching the NFL as the kneeling propagated across the league. Some even spoke out against Kaepernik. Kaepernik supporters thought that the objections came from people who thought he should shut up, or that he didn’t have a right to…

Invest in Big Spray Paint

I think Big Spray Paint is bankrolling Black Lives Matter (the communist organization, not the concept). Look at what an absolute boon the Summer of 2020 has been for Big Spray Paint. They haven’t had this good a year since 1984 when Breakin’ and Breakin’ 2: Electric Boogaloo came out. I’m not conspiracy theorist, but the way law enforcement is looking the other way while protesters vandalize everything with spray paint, and the way corporations are falling all over themselves to fund the protesters who, of course, need the money to buy more spray paint, I have to think…

If you don’t like this site, you are a racist

I know what you meant by that. If you don’t like what you read on this site, you hate kids. People who don’t read this site want to destroy the environment. Those who question what I’m saying want tall people dead. How many of you read any of the first four sentences and just know what I was really saying is you’re ugly? Disagreeing with me is not who we are. If we save just one life, we have to do things my way. Maybe you should just stop watching so much Faux News. If any of the above…

Why would anyone go to a protest?

If you’ve seen any video accounts of some of the things happening at protests around the country, I can’t figure out why anyone would go to one. Even Antifa people. Whether you’re going to watch, participate peacefully, steal stuff, beat people up, or just throw things at windows/cops/other people, it sure seems like the chance of getting hurt or killed is much greater than maybe hanging out at home that night. I’m not sure who would think it was a good idea to attend a protest right now, but it seems like if you knowingly wade into one, you…
