Targeted legislation: a conservative cause

President Trump opened the country’s collective eyes to many sights and ideas they had not seen prior. There are more people who understand how the political establishment fixes the game and how little they’re interested in truly helping or making a difference. They’re not trying to get results. They’re trying to keep the problems alive so they can continue on in office working to solve them. With the great conservative awakening, the worst marketing department in the history of marketing, otherwise known as the Republican Party, needs to define, understand, and aggressively articulate the tenets and goals of the…

Keystone: trickle-down economics lesson

The Keystone Pipeline: yet another opportunity missed for conservative marketing. Conservatives have been right, and even mildly aggressive, in pointing out the 11,000 jobs destroyed with the stroke of Joe Biden’s pen when he signed the executive order to suspend the pipeline construction. But they missed the much bigger lesson. Despite what some say or believe, the fact is that “trickle-down economics” isn’t just a theory, or even something to be argued. Trickle-down economics is just a phrase to describe the natural order of life. It’s indisputable: when you pull one economic lever, like taxation, people will react accordingly,…

White validation

The premise of the statement, “Black Lives Matter,” which especially applies specifically to those who insist you “say it,” is that black lives don’t matter until whites give them affirmation and validation. Somehow, society has to acknowledge or bless the idea before it becomes true. Whether they know it or not, the way the argument is currently set up, until whites bow down to the premise of the Black Lives Matter movement and give their blessing to the idea that “black lives matter,” black lives don’t matter. It just seems like you’ve devalued the exact people you’re trying to…

COVID, immigration, and the full circle

When President Trump closed the country to China, and then other countries, as an early response to COVID, Joe Biden said that Trump was xenophobic. Then he criticized Trump’s general response and lack of seriousness regarding the disease. Later, Biden would come to agree with the decision to close the nation’s borders to foreign nationals coming from China. Biden, along with the rest of the world, would go on to support countries restricting their borders as a way to contain the pandemic. Now, in the midst of that very same pandemic, Joe Biden’s administration think it is a good…

Those who lack religion…

…fill that hole with politics. People are constantly searching for meaning and purpose. In absence of having faith in a higher power, people put their faith in politics. And when you put your faith in politics, you can’t see or acknowledge truth. You can only hear the dogma fed to you by your leadership. When you put your faith in politics, you become the highest power. There is no greater cause than yourself. This is why so many socialists believe in things that are obviously and demonstrably untrue. And yet, look at how far they’ve come. America needs religion….

BLM is making me racist

Many people bought into the notion that Seinfeld was “about nothing.” Hardly. One of the many reasons why Seinfeld was a brilliant show was because it was about all of the subtle nuances of human interaction and relating. In one episode, George goes to leave a tip at a take out restaurant counter, and just as he’s about to drop the money into the jar, the person at the register looks away, missing that George drops the money. This leads a great debate about if tipping matters if the person you’re tipping doesn’t know you did. It also gets…

What does the left fear?

If the Republican Party had all three branches of government, as the Democrats do now, what would Democrats fear? What would they be warning the country about? What horrible effects do they think we’d all suffer? We should know the answer to that, but do we? We know what conservatives are currently fearing. Conservatives are fearing the elimination of person freedom and liberty. They fear losing the ability to honestly pursue your own happiness. Conservatives are fearing their complete elimination. They’re getting kicked off social media and silenced. There are movements to find Trump supporters, take away their degrees,…

Teaching kids to judge one another by skin color

Black Lives Matter at School Week kicks off today in the Seattle school system. Every day this week, teachers will take time out of their lesson plans to teach our children to be suspicious of others based on their race. Black children will be taught that all white people hate them and are working together to stop them from advancing or having any chance in life. Meanwhile, white children will be taught that black people need their affirmation that black lives matter, otherwise blacks won’t think that or believe that on their own. I’m not sure what’s more galling,…

A burger-flipping job saved my daughter’s life

A few days ago, the principal at my daughter’s school emailed everyone the sad news that one of the area high school students committed suicide. I’m not aware of the details, so I’m not going to speculate on the specifics. But it was a grim reminder on the absolutely tragic effects the lockdowns have had on kids, families, business owners, and everyone. While we’ve all been working overtime to avoid COVID, we’re walking headlong into suicide, depression, alcohol and drug abuse, loneliness, stress, domestic abuse, and a litany of undiagnosed illnesses that will kill some people. All of these…

The irony of the “fascist” definition

Democrats have always labeled conservatives as “fascists.” There’s nothing new there. I mean, they are the Party of Projection, after all. And conservatives have always been irritated by the complete misrepresentation of the word. By any definition of the word, fascism runs completely counter to the small government, individual freedom, capitalist style of government conservatives have been advocating for decades. Here are some definitions: “…stands for a centralized autocratic government headed by a dictatorial leader, severe economic and social regimentation, and forcible suppression of opposition” – Merriam Webster “…they had many characteristics in common, including extreme militaristic nationalism, contempt…
