Gina Careno, best known for her role in The Mandalorian, was recently fired from the Star Wars spinoff.

Most all of the media outlets who covered it (which was nearly all of them, and then some…) reported it as Careno getting fired for writing a post “implying that being a Republican today is like being Jewish during the Holocaust,” “denigrating people based on their cultural and religious identities are abhorrent and unacceptable,” or comparing “…Nazi Germany to the current political landscape.”

Even conservative media, like Matt Walsh, described her post as her comparing “our current political environment to Nazi Germany,” and called it a “dumb comparison.”

Remarkably, very few of these stories actually shared what she said. There’s a reason for that. Here’s her post:

“Jews were beaten in the streets, not by Nazi soldiers but by their neighbors…even by children. Because history is edited, most people today don’t realize that to get to the point where Nazi soldiers could easily round up thousands of Jews, the government first made their own neighbors hate them simply for being Jews. How is that any different from hating someone for their political views?”

With all the conservative pundits and Republican politicians with a microphone and a Twitter site (admittedly far fewer than a year ago, at this time, which is kind of related to her point), very few have actually gotten so close to pinpointing exactly what is happening.

What the left is doing quite specifically, with their constant cries of conservatives as “white supremacists,” “conspiracy theorist nut jobs,” and “domestic terrorists,” is attempting to dehumanize conservatives to the point where normal American citizens feel justified in canceling or even physically attacking conservatives.

The Democrat Party is very specifically engaged in exactly the strategy Carano describes. They are attempting to foster hate for conservatives across America. Even the virtuous mask police are targeting conservatives who won’t wear a mask while jogging alone in a park. They don’t just ask these people to put on a mask. They verbally, and every so often physically, assault and harass these people.

Carano is actually way ahead of the curve on her observation. And, as I wrote about a week or so ago, people just don’t believe it could actually happen here. They don’t believe anyone, Democrat or not, could be actually trying to erase an entire segment of our population based on their beliefs.

Believe it or not, what she’s describing is very specifically the strategy, and conservatives better wise up on this sooner, rather than later. It has only just begun.
