As we see again and again, those who refer to conservatives as “science deniers,” or who always talk about looking to the science, are once again ignoring the science as the protests go on and on.
On August 25th, new documents were released in the George Floyd case that include an awful lot of science.
In short, Floyd’s Fentanyl level was 11 ng/ml. For context, the report points out that overdoses have been certified with a level of 3. Apparently, the autopsy revealed his lungs were two-to-three times their normal weight, and if had been found at home, it would have been considered an overdose.
On April 3rd, Floyd had tested positive for COVID, and he had underlying health conditions, including heart disease, hypertension, and the sickle cell trait, which is typically an asymptomatic form of the serious sickle cell disease that primarily affects African Americans.
When it comes to matters like this, I, like most everyone out there protesting, destroying property, and injuring (when not killing) each other, don’t really know what I’m talking about. This is why I’m awaiting the full investigation and trial results.
But from what we learned, it would appear that the actions of the police officers, at worst, only contributed to his death. It sounds like he wasn’t going to last much longer.
In fact, one could go so far as to say that it was actually George Floyd who was trying to kill the officers. He had COVID, he knew it, and he wasn’t wearing a mask. I think we’ve learned from many shopping cart experts across American that when you don’t wear your mask, you are trying to kill your fellow citizens.
Because, you know, you can’t deny the science. Right?
I wonder what the science says about the levels of racism that could be found at the site of the incident…
